Returns Policy

1 - What is your return policy?

Most discount retailers have an 'all sales are final' approach to customer returns. At GreenLightOffice.com, we offer you the option of returning items that don't meet your needs. Here is our return policy:

  • You have up to 5 days after the shipping date to report damaged or incorrect merchandise. We will provide a pre-paid return label and re-ship new items ASAP.
  • You have up to 15 days after the shipping date to initiate a return for any other reason. Your returned items must reach us within 30 days of the ship date. Items received after 30 days will either incur a 25% restock fee or be shipped back to you at your cost.
  • When we receive your items, we will refund your order. Shipping is not refundable unless the return is due to our error. In the case of our error, return shipping charges are pre-paid by us, via an emailed UPS Call Tag.
  • If returns that are not due to our error drop your order total below $59, the $8.95 shipping charge will then apply to that order.  See our Shipping Policy for details. Likewise, if such a return drops the order total below a coupon threshold, that coupon is removed from the order.
  • To qualify for a refund, any returned items must be in their original condition, including the original packaging and all that came in it.
  • Note: Special Order items, dated items, medicines, and consumable/food items are not returnable unless the order was damaged in transit or the wrong item was shipped.

2 - How do I initiate a return?

It's easy to initiate a return. Simply go to our site and log in. Click the 'My Account' tab at the top of any page, and view the order you wish to return. In the order shown, click the 'Return Items' button at the bottom.

Return buttons appear next to each line item.  Click the button next to the item you want to return. A form with drop downs for reason and explanation for the return will appear above the order detail, along with a quantity box.  Select your reason and enter the quantity of that item you are returning.  Click the 'Return' button when are are done.  To return additional line items from that order, repeat this process.

When you are done, review the 'Qty Returning' number next to each line item in your order to verify it is correct.  Then click 'Confirm Returns' to complete the process.  You will receive a RA (Return Authorization) number and further return directions within three to five business days.

You can also e-mail our customer service representatives at returns@greenlightoffice.com for help obtaining a RA number.

Once you receive your RA number, please list it on your return label and send it back to us. Returns must be received back in our warehouse within 30 days from the original GreenLightOffice.com ship date. After receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise, we will reimburse your credit card.

3 - Is there anything special I should know about large items?

To help keep our shipping prices low on larger items, we have implemented some additional procedures and recommendations for returned items.

As a precautionary measure, thoroughly inspect the large item before the driver leaves. Occasionally an item will be damaged during shipment. If you notice any damage to the box or item, note the damage in detail on the receipt and do not accept delivery of the package.

It is important that you do not accept or sign for a damaged package. Contact GreenLightOffice.com Customer Service immediately. We will send you a replacement item or credit your account upon receipt of the damaged item at our warehouse.

We will deduct our standard shipping charges from your credit on large item returns. ALL items must be returned in their original condition, including the original packaging, and all its contents. Do not mark or deface original manufacturer containers in any manner. We will not accept returns if packaging is not in its original condition.

5 - How long does it take for my account to be credited?

Our warehouse and accounting staff work hard to process returns as quickly as possible. Processing returns can be complicated. Please allow 10 to 15 business days after we receive the items to process your credit.

If a non-returnable item is received, you will be notified with a choice of having it returned to you at your cost, or leaving it with us to discard. Unfortunately no credit can be issued. Non-returnable items are: Special Order items, medicines, and consumable/food items.

6 - How long do I have to return a product?

You have up to 5 days after the shipping date to report damaged or incorrect merchandise. Otherwise, you have up to 15 days after the shipping date to initiate your return. Your items must reach us within 30 days from ship date. Items received after 30 days will not be accepted for return. We will ship late items back to you.

7 - What if I return an item after 30 days?

Due to the nature of our business, items returned after 30 days are not always marketable. Therefore, we do not accept returns that reach us after 30 days from the original shipping date.*

*  Sometimes we can accept late returns with a 25% restocking fee.  Contact us if you would like to see if a late return is possible. 

At GreenLightOffice.com, we try hard to serve our customers better than anyone else. We wish we could accept all returns without any questions or limitations, but that is just not possible.
